Spices that are Beneficial

Usually when my mom makes Indian food, I don't really like the taste of it. I would much rather prefer zesty foods like pizza and pasta and tacos. However, I became interested in healthy food this year, and guess what foods where the most healthiest that I found in my research? Spices! I realized that my mom's way of simple and organic cooking was actually the best of all-I didn't need to search everywhere to find the healthiest food, it had been in front of my eyes all along. So what are these types of spices and their benefits? Read more to find out!

1. Ginger: maintains normal blood circulation, cures motion sickness, helps absorption,  does cold and flu prevention, combats stomach discomfort, prevents colon cancer, reduces pain and inflammation, fights respiratory problems, fights ovarian cancer, and combats morning sickness. 

2. Oregano: fights viruses, bacteria, fungal infections, and parasites. 

3. Clove (Laving): Cancer prevention, prevents DNA damage, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antiviral, andtifungal, and anti inflammatory. 

4. Cumin (Giru): Amplifies immunity and antibacterial and anti inflammatory. 

5. Tumeric: An important one- my 76  year old grandma eats 3 spoons of tumeric a day and it keeps her healthy!
