About Me

This blog was created January 26th, 2013. As part of my New Year's Resolution, and as part of just getting older, I have decided to change to a more healthy, happy and fulfilling lifestyle. This blog is meant to document my journey.

Here are changes you will see in me this year:

1. Weight Loss : I intend to lose 20-30 pounds, as I am overweight, which can cause a lot of diseases.

2. Healthy Eating: No more carbs, sugar, junk food or sweets. Only a healthy, vegetarian diet full of fruits and vegetables and lots of water.

3. Hygiene: Flossing Teeth, Brushing Twice a day, Showering in the Morning, Deodorant, Makeup

4. Skin Care: Acne Wash on Face, Hydrating Skin with Aloe Vera and Ayurvedic Lotion,  and Sunscreen

5. Good Habits: Waking up Early, Finishing everything ahead of time, having a schedule, planning everything
    Limiting TV and computer time.

6. Exercise: Doing Cardio, Zumba, and Yoga every single day for 1 hour, taking walks outdoors in the sunshine.

7. Spiritual: Meditation and connection with a higher power

8. Social: Learning how to talk more to others and building meaningful relationships. Getting rid of mental blocks and having more confidence and self-esteem. Discovering myself and my identity and how it fits in with the world.

9. Academic: Learning how to study every day, and not cram. Also building a genuine interest in the subjects and building relationships with teachers and peers through discussion. Actually thinking and pondering about the assignments instead of just doing them.

10. Happiness: Being happy in every single moment and enjoying the simplicity and wonder that is life. Being grateful for family, friends and my amazing body that can do millions of things without me even having to think about it, and having capabilities beyond my understanding.

 11. Usefulness: I want to expand my creative and helping nature this year. This includes learning a new instrument, singing, dancing, making new songs, trying new and unique things, and learning more about the world. Also I want to volunteer and help the less fortunate around me, and realize how lucky I am to have the things I have.
